Karnataka Government has come up with Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Scheme 2023. In this scheme, the women who hold the eligibility will get Rs 2000  in their bank accounts. But, the women who want to apply for this scheme will have to do registration. The main aim of the government is to enhance the well-being of women living in Karnataka.

Apart from well-being, the government also wants to establish gender equality and reduce poverty. The Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi scheme started on 19th July 2023. The registration can be done online or offline and there’s no need for any intermediaries in between.

 To register for the Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Scheme, 2023 you must first go to the official link sevasindhu.karnataka.gov.in. On this website, you can find the application or the registration form. If you wish to do offline registration then you can use the registered common service centres which are located in the state of Karnataka. The registration process will be carried out for a year. The first benefit will come in the month of August. So, those who had registered on 19th July 2023 will get Rs 2000 in their account around 15th to 20th August, 2023. The total budget that has been allocated to this scheme is Rs 18000 crores. 12.8 million families will be affected across the state.

How to do online registration for Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Scheme 2023?

For registration, you will need the Aadhar card number. Those who have already registered will have the username and password. When filling up the form, you will need information like full name, name of your husband and other family members. You will have to mention the residential address too. Apart from that you will also have to fill up the details like ration card number, bank account details etc.

How to check the status of your application, if you had registered previously?

If you had registered previously and now you want to know the status of your registration then you must go to the official link and check, if you are registered or not. If your name is there in the list then you will get the benefit that the government will give. You will be able to receive Rs 2000 by the 15th to 20th of August in your registered bank account.

What are the Eligibility Criteria for Gruha Lakshmi Scheme 2023?

The eligibility criteria for the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme 2023 is hereunder:

• The government has records for the families below poverty line, if the woman is the head of the family in such a family then she is eligible.
• The women and her husband, if they are not taxpayers, then they are eligible for the scheme.
• The income limit of the applicant should be below Rs 2 lakhs.
• The family which pays GST will also not be eligible for the scheme.
