IBPS CLERK EXAM 2023: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection ( IBPS) published the notification regarding recruitment for Clerk Posts in 11 well-known Banks in India on 1st July 2023. The job posts are for 4045 vacancies which are comparatively lower than the past two years( in 2021-7855, in 2022-6035 post vacancies).
The exam will be conducted in two stages ( Prelims + Mains). According to the official notification the exam is supposed to be held on 26th Aug, 27th Aug, and 2nd September. The candidates have to be within the age group of 20 to 28 years. The application form is already out now. The registration began on 1st July 2023.

EXAM PATTERN:
The exam will be conducted in two stages by IBPS.
- Prelims
- Mains.
Both the exams are written and in online mode. The exam pattern is as follows.
PRELIMS:
The Prelims is the first stage of the exam which will be based on the English language, numerical ability, and reasoning ability of the candidates. There will be 100 questions that need to be answered within 60 minutes. The maximum number of marks is 100 in Prelims.
+1 for each correct answer and a deduction of 0.25 marks from the gained number of the candidate for every wrong answer. (-0.25). For unattempted questions no marks will be given or deducted.

IBPS CLERK EXAM 2023: IBPS Mains exam will be based on 190 questions that need to be answered within 160 minutes. The test will be based on the English language, Reasoning Ability and Computer aptitude, Quantitative aptitude, and General and financial awareness.

EXAM FEE:
Candidates need to pay a certain amount of application fee for the IBPS clerk examination. The exam fees for Unreserved and reserved categories are different.

- SC/ST/PWD: Rs. 175 (only intimation charges)

IBPS CLERK EXAM 2023: ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
There are certain eligibility criteria that need to be fulfilled by the candidate to write this exam.
- The Candidate must be a minimum of 20 years and a maximum of 28 years. However, for Reserved categories, there is a relaxation of the upper age limit.
- For SC/ST: 5 years
- For OBC : 3 years
- For PwD 10 years.
2. Candidates need to have a graduation degree from any University recognized by the Indian Government.
3. The Candidate must be a citizen of India/Nepal/ Bhutan or a migrant from Tibetan ( permanently residing in India from 1st Jan 1962).
4. A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan/ Ethiopia/ Kenya/ Uganda/ Burma/Sri Lanka and is a permanent resident of India now.
5. The Candidate should have knowledge of Computer systems. A Diploma/Certificate or Degree in computer courses is mandatory. Language/computer applications/ IT should be one of the subjects candidates studied in school or college or University.
SELECTION PROCESS:
IBPS CLERK EXAM 2023: Candidates will be selected based on their performance in Mains. The Prelims would not be a determining factor in this exam. But to write the Mains paper candidates need to clear the cut-off of Prelims. The candidates who will be shortlisted for the merit list will receive a call letter from IBPS.
