WaterAid India organised a public awareness stunt in Select City Walk, Saket in Delhi. During the stunt, a giant 16 ft X 16 ft mock toilet was installed with catchy messages to bring visibility and awareness over issues of open defecation and the need for toilets. For higher impact, various cultural programs were performed by groups like Action India and Sambhavna Natya Manch who have been working with marginalized communities and empowering them to lead healthy lives.
At the end, WaterAid India mobilized people to take a pledge together for sanitation and hygiene.
The event was successful in highlighting the issue of sanitation in a public stage and in involving a largely urban audience engage with issues of sanitation.
